Imogene Pass

I wish I had a lot to say about Imogene Pass this year. The agave flowed the night before and I had a little brain damage going on at the beginning of the ride. Ryan and I stuck with Jason and Matt as the Brutus was having some vaporlock issues before we caught up with the rest of the group at the top of the pass. The sky was dark most the afternoon and we saw a lot of rain and hail and snow coming down through Tom Boy Mine. The road was washed out in 3 places. There was excitement on the radio further down the trail. We studied our options of staying on the mountain after dark in a storm or finding a hard spot in the mud slides and drive through. Good engineering minds at work determined it was safe to roll through and get off the mountain. In short, I feel we almost died up there. =8-)
